30,000 MADE SHOTS IN TWELVE WEEKS
By Ron Hughey

University of Houston Head Women’s Basketball Coach Ron Hughey is granting Coach-Speak.net a look behind the curtain by sharing some direct communication he has with his players. A popular tool many sports programs utilize to communicate with theirs teams is something called TEAMWORKS. It is a connection platform that allows coaches to get information to everyone in the program efficiently. So what coach Hughey is sharing with us is an inside look at that actual message being communicated to his team and throughout the program. A key theme and emphasis for this Houston program is “Everything Matters”.

In order to achieve this goal, you will have to shoot at least 5 days of the 7 day week.

Record the shots and send a picture of it to Meghan on that DAY/Night! At the end of the week, she will add the shots up and email an excel spread sheet with everyone’s numbers for all to see.

We will also have an Everything Matters Chart Board on the wall in the practice gym.

Every day you workout, you can get a UH sticker to place by your name on the board. You can get your sticker from your position coach when you are done working out.

If you’re working out at night or weekends, you must send a picture of what you did while in the gym and they will approve and give you a sticker.

We will do our 5 Spot Shooting Test in September!
